I spent a few hours at Jahra Pools this morning which was a lot quieter compared to last week.
Just inside the gate, I came across this obliging and perched Greater Spotted Eagle and I spent quite some time enjoying this magnificent raptor

It was hard to not take a few portraits as it intently watched the ground below the road

Western Marsh Harriers were present and hunting over the pools and reeds

Elsewhere, White-throated Kingfisher was seen in the early morning sun

As was Daurian Shrike

At the large shallow pools both Eastern and Western White Wagtails were seen. The Eastern having the much larger and extended black bib (as I understand)
