My son was enjoying his weekly golf lesson at this green golf course just off the 6th Ring Road and I inspected the water hole on the 18th..
A Great Reed Warbler was sitting quietly on a rock in the water, quickly catching and eating midges on the water surface
Great Reed Warbler (Acrocephalus arundinaceus) |
I was surprised in seeing 3 species of Wagtail - the more common White Wagtail at this time of year
White Wagtail (Motacilla alba) |
Yellow Wagtail (Motacilla flava) |
and a surprise pair of Grey Wagtails
Grey Wagtail (Motacilla cinerea) |
