100-days since we went into lockdown on 12 March 2020! Luckily I have this hobby to keep the sanity, even though it is mid-summer, it is still important to get out. Unfortunately, there arent any other locations worth visiting and Jahra Pools is off limits due to Covid-19. But, there is certainly nothing wrong with the Pivots as a birding location.
On the way to the marsh, I found the Black-winged Kite on the same overhead line as last week, except this time there were two birds

At the marsh, the Black-winged Stilt's were already overhead to welcome me, before I got out the car

They were followed by 3 Pied Avocet's that were extremely skittish

I had juveniles of both White-tailed

and Red-wattled Lapwing

Walking the perimeter of the marsh, I flushed a Common Redshank that gave a quick fly by

And a number of Little Ringed Plover

I went to look in the usual place for the Cream-coloured Courser's and found a small flock

and not much further on, found the Black-crowned Sparrow-Larks in their usual spot

here a few of them lining up in the shade of the telephone pole to escape the heat of the morning
On the boundary of the farm, a Helmeted Guineafowl had escaped from it's pen

Whilst tallying up the eBird list in the shade, I swapped the prime lens for my macro to photograph this Dragonfly
