Summer is kicking in

Week 21; 25 May 2018 - Jahra Pools

Decided to have a quick visit to JPR in the afternoon as spring migration is now coming to an end..

A Continental Great Cormorant seems to be over-summering at JPR this year

Continental Great Cormorant (Phalacrocorax sinensis)

A Common Quail was found hiding then foraging in some short grass next to the road

Common Quail (Coturnix coturnix)

Little Ringed Plovers are still present

Little Ringed Plover (Charadrius dubius)

As are the resident White-tailed Lapwing as the sun sets on another day

Summer is certainly upon us and the next few months are going to be challenging
