3 Terns, a Gull and and Cormorant met at the Harbour

Week 15; 12 April 2017 - Souk Sharq

The weather was good, so it warranted another stop at Sharq Harbour on the way in to work.

Similar Tern species were still present with the addition of a third; Lesser Crested

Lesser Crested Tern (Sterna bengalensis)

Sandwich

Sandwich Tern (Sterna sandvicensis)

And a Little

Little Tern (Sternula albifrons)

But also a late and still winter plumage Common Black-headed Gull

Common Black-headed Gull (Chroicocephalus ridibundus)

As well as another winter visitor to Kuwait, the Continental Great Cormorant fishing quite successfully
