TGIT

Week 18; 04 May 2017 - Gulf Road and Al Shaheed Park

Continued with an early and 'slow' drive to work to check for migrating passerines.

There was a mix of Yellow Wagtails; including lutea

and thunbergi

But the new arrival was a male Whinchat

After work, I made a detour for a late afternoon walk around the tranquil Al Shaheed Park - a tranquil green zone on the southern boundary of Kuwait City. First up was a really skulking Blackcap

Followed by an equally skulking Rufous-tailed Scrub Robin

and a Turkestan Shrike watching and waiting from close by

A Spotted Flycatcher was holding territory on one of the pathways

On the invertebrate side, a probable Asian Grass Blue

and a Crimson-speckled Flunkey
